MIKE STAVROU
Michael Paul Stavrou (Stav) was born with a passion for sound! First gaining experience by hosting shows on college radio, followed by working at radio and television stations across the US, studying at Virginia Commonwealth University, and landing a recording studio job at Virginia’s fist multi-track facility - Eastern Recording Studios
Searching for the ultimate experience and learning environment, led Stav to work at Air Studio in London for more than a decade - mastering every conceivable recording situation, style of music, instrumentation & acoustical limitation, and highlighted by working on a Paul McCartney LP, that was being recorded at AIR Studios in Montserrat. Subsequent moves in the organisation saw him take on the titles of Studio Manager and Chief Engineer.
After finishing working at Air, Stav continues on as a freelance Audio Engineer, writer for industry publications, acoustic designer, inventor and Licensor of Arc Technology to Smart AV, and runs StudioStav in Byron Bay NSW
