NETWORKS

As the use of production and performance tools continues to grow, the importance of networking, both wired and wireless, in studios and live environments is becoming increasingly vital for success. With the need for constant connection to the internet and the increasing demand for high-quality audio and video transmission, networks are becoming an essential component of any modern production or performance setup. Our team at Studious is highly proficient in IT and digital media networking protocols, and we are able to address any networking needs you may have.

One of the key areas where we excel is in our knowledge and expertise with Dante and AVB networking protocols. These industry-standard protocols are widely used in professional audio and video applications, and provide high-quality, low-latency transmission of audio and video data over Ethernet networks. Whether you are experiencing wireless challenges within your studio or need help setting up a Dante or AVB network, we have the expertise to resolve them and ensure that you stay connected and can focus on your work.

TCP/IP (ethernet / WIRELESS)

A reliable network is the foundation of any modern studio, providing essential connectivity for internet access, data transfer, and media routing. At the core of these networks is the TCP/IP protocol, which has been the backbone of computer networks and the internet since the 1970s.

Today, the terms "TCP/IP network" and "ethernet network" are often used interchangeably, highlighting the ubiquity of this essential networking standard. Whether you're setting up a studio for music production, video editing, or live performance, a robust TCP/IP network is crucial for ensuring smooth, seamless communication between your devices and the wider internet. Our team at Studious is highly proficient in all aspects of TCP/IP networking and can help you design, set up, and maintain a network that meets the specific needs of your studio.

We use Ubiquiti Networks equipment, such as routers, switches, access points and other devices, that allows for the creation and management of wired and wireless networks.

Dante by audinate

Dante Audio is a digital audio networking technology that allows for the transmission of high-quality audio over standard Ethernet networks. It uses a proprietary protocol to transmit audio over IP networks, allowing for the creation of large-scale audio networks with minimal latency. This allows for the use of audio devices such as speakers, microphones, and mixers to be connected to a network and controlled remotely. This technology is commonly used in professional audio applications such as live events, theater productions, and broadcasting.

Dante Audio offers a wide range of benefits, including the ability to use standard Ethernet networks, compatibility with a wide range of devices, and support for low-latency, high-quality audio transmission. Additionally, Dante Audio supports multiple channels of audio, allowing for the creation of complex audio networks with multiple sources and destinations. It also includes built-in security features to protect audio transmissions from unauthorized access or interference. Overall, Dante Audio is a powerful and versatile digital audio networking technology that has become an industry standard for professional audio applications.

Some of the products from brands like Audinate, Behringer, Biamp, Digico, Digidesign, Yamaha, RME, Focusrite, Soundcraft, SSL, Studer, and many others are Dante-compatible.

AVB

AVB (Audio Video Bridging) is a set of technical standards that provide a method for transporting high-quality audio and video over standard Ethernet networks. AVB is a time-sensitive networking technology that prioritizes audio and video packets, allowing for low-latency and high-quality audio and video transmission. It uses a technique called time-synchronization to ensure that audio and video packets arrive at their destinations at the right time, preventing jitter and other audio/video syncing issues.

AVB Audio provides an end-to-end solution for audio and video transmission, including everything from the audio or video source, through the network, and to the final destination. It's commonly used in a variety of professional audio and video applications such as live events, theater productions, broadcasting, and studio recording. It enables audio and video devices to connect to a network and be controlled remotely, as well as supporting multiple channels of audio and video. AVB audio is commonly used alongside other network audio technologies such as Dante Audio, Ravenna, and AES67.
